Mixed emotions
This is the kids last day of school i feel quite sad in someways because this will be the last time they play with some of their friends or even see them again. The kids are pleased that there is no more school from today but i don't know whether it will sink in especially with my son that this is really goodbye.
They let him meet the teacher that he would of got in September so he automatically thinks that he will go to her for year 2, i'm hoping over the 6weeks he will realize that he isn't going back.
Today i am meeting a few of the mums for our Friday morning coffee, again this will be the last time we do that together but we have planned to get together over the summer for a meal and a few drinks to say goodbye properly. I have made some good friends here, the day i leave will be a sad day for me i will miss them all.

Goodbyes are never fun, but the little 'uns will recover and make new friends just fine. I moved a lot when I was young, and it never particularly bothered me.
My wife is back home tonight, hurrah!
the boy - Your right the kids will recover. Today is just like a normal day to them its me thats falling apart. Enjoy catching up with your wife
I'm fairly sure you have said that you were glad about returning to Germany. I have never been and wonder, if you get the time, if you could tell us what you like about it?
